First things first,  did you know that…

1) There is a standard writing system for all our languages?

2) That words are just expressions of things and concepts within a particular culture?

3) That modern day English is one of the youngest languages in the world and it is a collection of many languages?

4) That all our languages are more than capable of containing, transporting and creating knowledge and information.

5) That just the sum total of our languages, properly positioned, could generate millions of Dollars in annual revenue through and by producing and consuming and exporting our various literature forms.

6) That you loose 75 percent of you cognitive intelligence if you learn in a foreign language.

7) That the first thing slave hustlers forbid our forefathers was the usage of their own languages. Anyone found wanting got their mouths slit with a bayonet from the lips to the jaws to terrify the others from talking in their tongues.

8) That all our languages could be thought in schools without a problem .

9) That English is still only maintained for a few to live lives of privilege above the majority who struggle all day to make ends meet.

10) That all developed nations are only able to develop because they use their own languages to live, learn and work.

For this reason, I call on YOU DEAR READER,

YOU MY BROTHER AND MY SISTER and my mother and father, my uncle and cousins and above all, you dear comrade in the struggle for the liberation of our people, to rise up against our continuous humiliation by our leaders who connive with our oppressors to kill every bit of our identity by imposing on us languages and political systems that are not ours in the first place.

We the people of The Gambia pay for these commissions and pay the people who are working in them. We pay them! How are our languages not good enough to be spoken for the duties we tasked them with? Are we men and women of no substance, who can’t raise our damn voices even if a knife is been wrongfully placed on our throats?

Resist my people resist the colonization and subjugation we continue to endure since time immemorial.

Let’s mobilize and demonstrate and strike and write letters and banners to bring these brainless bourgeoise to their senses.

I count on you my brothers and sisters and of course the almighty comrade, the Afrikkan freedom warrior not to tire or get weary for the day of total liberation is near.

Yours in the service of The Gambia and the Blakk Nation, I remain.
